It has been a busy start to 2023 here at The Hagar House. We can hardly believe it is already March! Here are some updates regarding the ministry…
- We wrapped up 2022 with a full house at our annual fundraising banquet atthe Hilton. It was a great night of community support as we raised over$66,000, with another $30,000 that came in the weeks to follow.
- We are currently serving 3 families, a total of 9 kiddos, making it a very busyhome! Lots of fun kid stories and lots of laughter.
- We are already experiencing deep connections with these moms and kidsand we are so blessed to be here for them.
- Our staff of 14 part-time ladies have helped us open our doors for a nearlyflawless launch. We meet bi-monthly as staff to assess and address things as we navigate this exciting time of building a ministry from the groundup. These women are so much more than paid workers, but truly friends we get to do ministry alongside of.
- We transformed our largest bedroom into a second living room as we saw the need for more community family space. This does mean that we can now house 5 families instead of 6, but we are confident it was the right pivot to make.
- We can hardly believe it but, the property is officially owned by The Hagar House with zero mortgage! We are praising the Lord for His provision andwe thank you for all of your support.
- We continue to take applications for new families weekly. The variables of acceptance into the home are delicate but we trust that God will direct our decisions with grace and wisdom.
- We have grown our Board of Directors to 8 members, all of which have greatly added to the momentum and leadership of this ministry. We are an amazing team and it is a joy to lead together. We hope to update our website with bios on the board members soon.
- We have started re-visiting local church congregations to give updates ofGod’s workings in the last year. It is amazing how many wonderful church families we have in our area.
