 Hello supporters and encouragers of The Hagar House! If you are reading this, you are already a part of the story God is writing for this home! We want to share a few highlights and keep you posted on recent updates. 

It’s been a while since we saw many of you on the 400 block. Thank you so much for coming out that day. We captured some great footage and we are eager to share it with you when we have the finished product. 

As many of you already know, the mission of The Hagar House is to provide a long-term home for women and their children in crisis. To offer them a significant amount of TIME, in a place of RESPITE, surrounded by intentional SUPPORT in order to impact lasting change. There are women and children in crisis in our community, and God calls us to come alongside them in their time of need. Through grace-based support and applying God’s Truths for living life to its fullest, The Hagar House will provide a HOME where families can rebuild and find respite. The Hagar House will help them draw on their strengths and assist in overcoming barriers. 

Updates include: The Board has been formed; you can view the Meet the Board Section on our webpage. The 501C3 application has been filed. Our community collaboration has expanded to include The Hannah Center in Marshfield, The Women’s Community, The Community Foundation, Thrivent staff/members, web designers, and attorneys. Most exciting is that we have a possibility for a home located downtown, near bus lines and key resources. The property offers ample kitchen, dining, office and yard space. It has over four bedrooms, each large enough for a mom and her children to reside in comfortably. There are three plus bathrooms that will ensure greater privacy for families. Please keep the potential for this property in your prayers!
